新余經(jīng)濟(jì)開發(fā)區(qū)設(shè)立于2001年，是經(jīng)國家發(fā)改委核準(zhǔn)、江西省政府重點(diǎn)調(diào)度的省級開發(fā)區(qū)，是全國在新能源領(lǐng)域唯一獲得“國家科技興貿(mào)創(chuàng)新基地”稱號的開發(fā)區(qū)，是目前江西省唯一一個(gè)副廳級建制的省級開發(fā)區(qū)，也是江西省首個(gè)唯一的“光伏產(chǎn)業(yè)特色工業(yè)園區(qū)”，全國在新能源行業(yè)最具投資價(jià)值的開發(fā)區(qū)，已形成太陽
能、風(fēng)能、低溫余熱發(fā)電三大新能源重點(diǎn)發(fā)展領(lǐng)域。

    Xinyu Economic Development Zone was established in 2001, is approved by the National Development and Reform Commission, is a key scheduling provincial-level development zone, is the only zone been awarded as “national new energy innovation base with science and technology trade" in national new energy field, is the only “Characteristics of photovoltaic industrial park” in Jiangxi Province. The zone is the most investment value one in the national new energy field, which has formed three major new energy development areas: solar, wind, low-temperature waste heat power generation.

    成立以來，全區(qū)按照“開放立區(qū)、工業(yè)強(qiáng)區(qū)、經(jīng)營活區(qū)”的工作思路，傾力打造多功能、生態(tài)型、現(xiàn)代化工業(yè)新城區(qū)，通過推出一系列有效舉措，在短短的幾年時(shí)間里實(shí)現(xiàn)了超常規(guī)、跨越式發(fā)展。全區(qū)完成GDP、工業(yè)主營業(yè)務(wù)收入、工業(yè)增加值、財(cái)政收入、利用外資和外貿(mào)進(jìn)出口總額等指標(biāo)連年翻番增長，平均增幅列全省第一，各項(xiàng)主要經(jīng)濟(jì)指標(biāo)綜合評比已連續(xù)四年列全省省級開發(fā)區(qū)第一位，已成為加快江西省開放型經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展的一支重要力量和全省最具發(fā)展實(shí)力、發(fā)展活力和發(fā)展?jié)摿Φ墓�業(yè)示范園區(qū)，目前正在積極爭取成為國家級開發(fā)區(qū)。
    According to the guideline of “developing the zone through opening-up, industries and better operation”, the zone has spared no effort to build a modern ecological new industrial urban zone. Through a series of effective measures, the industrial economy has extraordinary development in the past few years that the indicators’ growth of GDP, industrial main sales income, industrial added value, fiscal revenue, the use of foreign capital, import and export volume double every year and the average increase listed the 1st in the province. The zone was listed the first in provincial industrial parks in Jiangxi province for 4 years in terms of its major economic indicators, which has become an important force open to speed up economic development and the province's most vitality and potential industrial park, is now actively striving to become a national development zone.
