Railport Medyka is a universal terminal, based on the rail and road

infrastructure, providing logistic services related to the receipt, han-dling, warehousing, storage, allocation and issue of goods. Its spatial

organisation over the area of 13 ha also allows for providing a wide

range of additional services. The terminal handles dry bulk cargo,

break bulk cargo in units of up to 30 tonnes, and packed goods.

The terminal handles and forwards cargo that is transported across

the border between Poland and Belarus via the nearby crossing point

Kuźnica/Bruzgi. It has access to both broad and standard gauge rail-way infrastructure: there are two broad gauge (Russian) tracks and

two standard gauge (Polish) tracks of a total length of more than

4,000 m. Cargo is handled using modern excavators and wheel load-ers. There is also a storage yard that can hold over 10,000 tonnes

of cargo. The terminal offers a full range of services in the field of

cargo transloading (from broad gauge wagons to standard gauge

wagons and road vehicles, and vice versa), storage, rail and road

freight forwarding, customs clearance, and qualitative and quantita-tive control of cargo.

The terminal in Brody Małe provides comprehensive services re-lated to the handling of cargo transported across the eastern border

by rail (in export, import and transit). It makes use of the existing

break-of-gauge infrastructure. There are transloading facilities at the

railway stations in Szczebrzeszyn and Chełm Wschodni, which han-dle railway freight traffic at two border crossing points with Ukraine:

Hrubieszów-Izov and Dorohusk-Jagodin. The terminals are equipped
