教育和社區(qū)參與的分支

Education and Community Involvement Branch

The Education and Community Involvement Branch (ECIB) develops education and community involvement programs to engage a broad range of the public in understanding genomics and accompanying ethical, legal, and social issues. Education programs include those to inform the public of the latest advances in genomics, as well as to support the dissemination of information to teachers, students, and consumers.

The ECIB acts as a liaison between the NHGRI and community-based organizations. The branch leads programs and initiatives to promote the engagement of diverse communities in understanding genomics and its translation to health and society.

NHGRI Webinar Series

An audio series on topics related to genomics, health and society. A program created by the Education and Community Involvement Branch and hosted by the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) at the National Institutes of Health.

Genomic Healthcare Branch

The Genomic Healthcare Branch (GHB) of the Division of Policy, Communications, and Education at the National Human Genome Research Institute was created to promote the effective integration of genomic discoveries into healthcare. The GHB works closely with other parts of the NHGRI, especially with other the other division branches, to accomplish its work.

GHB activities are diverse but may be grouped into four broad areas:

Developing priorities for translational genomic research at the NHGRI and beyond.

Promoting the development and evaluation of tools that enable healthcare providers to take more effective advantage of advances in genomics.

Promoting genetics literacy among the full spectrum of healthcare providers and their patients.

Serving as a liaison between the healthcare community and the NHGRI, and encouraging dialogue with healthcare providers and organizations with an interest in the role of emerging genomic technologies in reshaping healthcare.
